In light of continued concerns about the risks COVID-19 transmission, Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Juneau has recommended to the School Board that the district start the 2020-2021 school year remotely, and follow the remote instruction model until the risk has decreased. The Seattle School Board will be voting on this recommendation on August 12, and we will hear from Superintendent Juneau the following week.
She will share how district staff are preparing for the fall and working to improve remote instruction, including improving consistency with predictable schedules for live instruction, providing students with computers, and planning for students with IEPs.
