In this series of 3 free workshops, join guest artists by the river for interactive workshops that highlight some of the many ways nature can show up in writing and storytelling. Whether you're a song writer, poet, storyteller, reader, or just plain word nerd, these sessions will inspire you and give you tools to think about nature and weave it into your writing. Bring a notebook and your favorite writing tools. This workshop, the first in the series, will feature Coast Salish storyteller and water rights activist Paul Chiyokten Wagner (Saanich First Nations). Paul will reflect on how indigenous people connect to nature through story and the role of storytelling in activism
