Minh Ngo has been in the financial planning industry for over 13 years and received his Certified Financial Planner designation back in 2013. He’s been in collaboration with Northwestern Mutual since December of 2008 joining as an intern.  He’s currently married to his wife Dao and they have two daughters, Frankie and Willow.  His family immigrated to Olympia, WA back in 1990 and he transitioned to Seattle to pursue his academic pursuits as a community college transfer student to the Foster School of Business in Seattle.
 
Big picture, Minh thoroughly enjoys his role in helping clients with their financial planning. Growing up and being a part of a Buddhist temple, it’s shaped his viewpoint in life to lead with compassion and empathy. It’s helped foster a unique perspective relative to others in his industry. He finds it’s not always about just making more money but helping people optimize their resources in a way that maximizes the utility from their money to be fulfilling work.   Over time, as a person of color who helps manage wealth, he envisions being a trailblazer to help create more diversity among the industry.  With that said, he’s also a dedicated husband, father, son, and views a harmony between professional and personal goals to be the key to true happiness.
