Burien Brat Trot

The Burien Brat Trot 5K is a true community celebration that brings out the fun in all of us and it also raises critical funds for Highline Schools Foundation. The Burien Brat Trot is a flat and fast 5K and one mile race throughout the streets of Burien followed by Bavarian Fest, the best street party around! After the run, stay for Bavarian Fest - enjoy an Oktoberfest style party complete with beer, great food, music, and zany fun centered around the Burien Brat Trot! Fun costumes (anything fun and frivolous) are welcome and encouraged! Both races start and end in Olde Burien, where runners and the community are surrounded by a day-long party called “Bavarian Fest” – complete with beer gardens, plenty of brat, oompah music, live rock bands, kids’ activities and frivolity!

School Registration Contest
When you, your family, and friends register for the Brat Trot, enter your school when asked “please select your school affiliation” to be counted in our school registration contest! The top 3 schools with the most registrants win money for their school or PTSA!

Got Angel Wings?
Each year during our school competitions we encounter families with children who would love to run but cannot afford the registration fee or do not have adequate shoes to run in. You can be a Brat Trot Angel and sponsor a local child in need so they can run the race without worrying about the fee! Angel donations will be matched with kids in need living in our community. » $35 to sponsor a child to run; $60 to sponsor 2 children to run Corporate

Team Challenge
Groups of 10 or more representing the same organization can register as Corporate teams and receive a discount. The team with the most registrants by the deadline wins a holiday party at the Tin Theater including a $500 credit for food and drink! Teams must have discount codes specific to their team to register. To obtain a code for your team, email anne@highlineschoolsfoundation.org.

Fastest Team Challenge
All teams registered will automatically be entered into this challenge! We’ll average every teams’ fastest 10 finish times (5k only). The team with the fastest average time wins bragging rights, a trophy, and other cool prizes!

Brat Tot Team Pub Crawl
Head out as a pack to as many Burien establishments as you can on Crawl Night – earn points, endure challenges, have a blast! All teams participating are entered to win great prizes. Register online in advance or at the door at the Tin Room on crawl night. (Benefits Highline Schools Foundation).
