2023 March Chamber Mixer
Join us on Wednesday, March 22 from 4PM-6PM for our Seattle Southside Chamber Mixer. At this special event, Annie Tran the Economic Development Manager from the Port of Seattle will present updates regarding their newly launched Community Business Connector Program. In partnership with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, the Community Business Connector Program is designed to serve small businesses across King County. The network of small business liaisons known as “Community Business Connectors” will be able to help triage businesses through a host of business resources and help reduce the linguistic, cultural, and geographic barriers in securing business assistance.
Following the Port of Seattle presentation we will hear from Labor & Industries and SharedWork for more resources for your growing business!Thank you to our Hosts, Speakers, and Sponsors!
This event will be joined by two local Seattle Southside Chamber Ambassadors.

Our Land Acknowledgment:
As we gather, we respectfully acknowledge that our event is taking place on occupied Coast Salish land and that Seattle Southside Chamber is on the homelands of the Duwamish people. We pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present and extend that respect to their descendants and to all Indigenous people.
Why do we recognize the land?
To recognize the land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on and a way of honoring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial. It is important to understand the long-standing history that has brought you to reside on the land and to seek to understand your place within that history. Land acknowledgments do not exist in a past tense or historical context: colonialism is a current ongoing process, and we need to build the mindfulness of our present participation. It is also worth noting that acknowledging the land is Indigenous protocol.
