2019 In-State Study Mission: Exploring the City of Destiny
Join the Seattle Metro Chamber in Tacoma for their 2019 In-State Study Mission as they explore what ideal partnership looks like with their neighbors to the south. Former Tacoma Mayor and current Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Marilyn Strickland will lead a group of delegates over this two-day trip.
With over 10,000 individuals moving to Tacoma in the last eight years and more than $1 billion being invested in their downtown infrastructure, Tacoma is a force to be reckoned with. We will learn from local business and civic leaders, take a boat tour of scenic Commencement Bay, explore historic Tacoma districts, and more. We will also have the opportunity to hear from Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards on her vision for the city’s future.
Take a roadtrip to the south to learn how the City of Destiny is making its mark on our region.
