DESCRIPTION:This event will take place at The Golf Club at Newcastle on June 9th\, 2023. It includes a mocktail hour\, networking\, and amazing items in the live and silent auction! Come witness an inspirational evening and see how the nonprofit has worked to preserve East African immigrant and refugee children's culture and heritage. This is VOT's largest fundraiser of the year\, providing vital support for the programs and services it offers to children and families.\n\n\n\nVOT is a community-based nonprofit founded in 2012 by two East African teachers with the goal of addressing gaps in the early learning and childcare system. Of the 18\,200 King County residents that VOT serves\, 90% are of African descent and 100% of children come from low-income families. VOT offers culturally and linguistically responsive early learning programs that preserve children's culture and language\, while preparing them for success in American schools. Please consider purchasing a ticket or a table to the gala on June 9th and showing your support so that VOT can continue its life-changing work!
