Come hear from community leaders addressing domestic violence issues and help recognize the recipients of our two community awards: The Jennifer Politakis Hero Award and the Terri Kimball Award.\n\nThe Jennifer Politakis Hero Award is awarded to a resident of South King County who goes above and beyond to develop and create healthy\, safe\, and welcoming environments for children and families in our communities. Someone who values and takes steps to prevent health and social problems in the first place. Someone who builds on strengths\, assets\, and preferences of people and communities in order to create change\, support wellness and recovery\, and foster self-determination. Someone who works intentionally to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities. Someone who invests in the health and well-being of generations to come.\n\nThe Terri Kimball Award recognizes Terri's ceaseless advocate for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Terri considered everyone she met as a potential advocate for the cause. This award\, given in Terri's memory\, goes to a volunteer that also dedicates themselves to the cause.\n\nIf you would like to nominate a person for either award please contact us for more information.\n\nIf you would like to make an even more profound difference for Dawn and our mission\, please consider becoming a table captain.
