DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Chamber Mixer in partnership with FASTSIGNS of Burien-West Seattle and Discover Burien ALONGSIDE a Ribbon cutting for FASTSIGNS of Burien-West Seattle's 1 year anniversary with current management!\n\n\n\nAbout Discover Burien: At our core\, Discover Burien is a service organization. We serve the business community\, both for-profit and non-profit\, to support and sustain a vibrant economy through promotion\, education and events. Working with Burien businesses and holding events throughout the year\, we offer many opportunities for Burien residents to engage with each other and support the local economy. We are dedicated to supporting the business community of Burien and being a resource for fun and exploration for our residents and visitors.\n\n \n\nAbout FASTSIGNS of Burien-West Seattle: Locally owned and operated\, FASTSIGNS of Burien-West Seattle is here to take your project from concept to completion. Located in the heart of the vibrant Burien community we pride ourselves on helping our neighbors and fellow community members bring their projects to life.  Our approach to signs is consultative.  We want to hear what you want to say and help you find the most effective way to say it. Nothing is too big or too small for our dedicated team. From temporary banners\, signs and other creative ways to get the word out about your next event\, to full design\, production and installation services for your business rebrand\, we're here to help you make your statement.  \n \n\nThank you to our Hosts\, Speakers\, and Sponsors!\n\n \n\nThis event will be joined by two local Seattle Southside Chamber Ambassadors.\n\n \nLimited Capacity: A waitlist is available once all spots are filled. We pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present and extend that respect to their descendants and to all Indigenous people. \n\n\n\nWhy do we recognize the land? \n\nTo recognize the land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on and a way of honoring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial. It is important to understand the long-standing history that has brought you to reside on the land and to seek to understand your place within that history. Land acknowledgments do not exist in a past tense or historical context: colonialism is a current ongoing process\, and we need to build the mindfulness of our present participation.
